We just took delivery of 3 tons of pellets for our new pellet insert which will be installed next Tuesday. Now I just have to find a place to put them. They can't stay in the garage for too long. Feel free to stop by and help stack them in the basement.

Maybe you can find a few old 'fridges along the roadside to gather up and bring home to put on the driveway where you can store the pellets.
Um.... call me stupid... and I'm sorry I haven't been able to keep up much over the summer, but what are "Pellets"??????
Call me stupid too!! I had to google it to figure out what they were!

So, we had a new wood pellet stove installed in our fireplace today. It's an insert that goes in the fireplace, but you can get freestanding pellet stoves too. It's an alternative heating source instead of heating oil, which tends to be pricy sometimes. Right now, the prices are comparable, but the price of oil seems to be far more variable. When we bought this house about 13 years ago, heating oil was 52 cents a gallon. Now it's about $2.25. A year or so ago, it was around $4!!!
