Here is a snippet from the email we received from our agency today...
"We just received sixteen referrals! The biggest group in a long time! The girls were from the provinces of Guangdong and Anhui. Their ages ranged from 7 months to about 24 months. Most of the children were under a year old. These referrals included the families logged in at CAWLI up to October 10, 2005. We do not know the official CCAA cut off date** yet because they have not updated their website. We have eight families in China now. They have spent the week with their children in Anhui and Hunan and will be making their way to Guangzhou on Friday. Everyone seems to be taking these first few adjustment days in stride! The families who received referrals last month will be heading to China after the Chinese New Year celebrations finish. They will be leaving March 1 and returning March 14."
**The official cutoff date was 10/13/05. Our agency did not have any applications logged in on 10/11, 10/12, or 10/13. Applications from our agency usually get mailed in small batches so they are logged in China on the same date. This allows you to travel with others from your agency.
REMINDER: Our date is 10/26/05. I've added it to the panel on the left side of the page so you won't forget!!!
