Wow - Florida is really coming through on the quilt squares. Four more arrived today from one of my bestest friends in the whole world, VW, and her family. V and I worked together for several years and always had loads of fun together at work. Remember our weekly Seinfeld and Salad lunches? Remember the product release cruises on the yacht out of St. Pete? Remember the fun ladies nights out we used to have in your pool? And riding your jet ski and boat basically out of your backyard...BIG SIGH...and here I sit in January where it was 14 degrees this morning (although this has been a mild winter with only an inch or so of snow so far, so it's hard to complain). I do miss FL for a few weeks at this time of year. The beach, the sand, the sun... To keep from getting too depressed, I also remember the palmetto bugs (aka giant flying roaches), the fire ants, and the scorpions...
Darn that daughter of yours for not picking one of those New England schools that y'all came up to visit a year or so ago. When will Z be looking for schools? Let's see, in 10 years, maybe we can get EJ to go to USF or something so we have a reason to visit you more often. I miss you!
Here are their squares (did you plan them to be so color-coordinated?), clockwise from the upper left: sheep from son Z, music words from daughter C, houses from hubby T, and gingerbread men from V. Thank you so much!
